HANS EMMENEGGER (1866-1940)

For the first time in French-speaking Switzerland, this retrospective exhibition is showing a hundred or so paintings by the Lucerne-based painter, Hans Emmenegger. The modernity of his work dialogues with paintings of his peers (Böcklin, Hodler, Vallotton, etc.) and of contemporary artists inspired by him (Bachmann, Party, Schnider, etc.). A « carte blanche » to ECAL also extends this dialogue with the new generation.
