From the Greeks to the Surrealists
This exhibition tells the story of the Celts with the aid of numismatic and archaeological sources. Its originality lies in its connection with fine arts : the last section is dedicated to the rediscovery of the Celtic world by André Breton in the early 20th century. The exhibition displays objects and coins shown for the first time in Western Switzerland which come from Paris, Mainz and Basel. An exhibition presented by the Cantonal Coin Museum and the Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History.
